d) music can be disabled - great! but what about "wrrrrrr" while driving?! :D

Compiling the game under a PPC Linux is probably the better solution ... It will probably require a few reports and fixes, but it should work :) If you're a PPC Linux user, feel free to contact (and join ?) the team (see forum, link is on the top banner)
